Keeping film alive, one camera at a time.
Lazy Films Gear was created with a simple purpose: to make shooting film more accessible by helping people find good cameras.
For us, the biggest barrier to shooting film today isn’t necessarily the film itself. It is the camera.
Film cameras are becoming increasingly difficult to find in good working condition. Many of the cameras that once made film photography accessible are now decades old, and finding a reliable one can be a frustrating process. There is often very little clarity about the condition of a camera, its history, or whether it will perform the way you expect it to.
We want to change that.
We source cameras from across India and internationally, carefully selecting equipment that we believe deserves to keep making photographs. Each camera goes through a thorough inspection and functional testing before it is made available. Where required, cameras are serviced and prepared to ensure they are ready to be put to work.
Our focus is not on collecting cameras for the sake of collecting them. We want these cameras in the hands of photographers.
From simple 35mm cameras to professional SLRs, medium-format systems and specialised film equipment, we are building a carefully selected range for photographers at every level — whether you’re shooting your first roll or looking for a particular camera to add to your kit.
Part of a larger ecosystem
Lazy Films Gear exists alongside Lazy Film Lab because we believe keeping film alive requires more than simply making film available.
It requires cameras to shoot it, film to put through them, labs to process it, and a community that continues to use and celebrate the medium.
Lazy Films Gear is our attempt to solve one important part of that equation: getting good cameras into the hands of people who want to shoot film.
We believe film is more than a nostalgic medium. It remains a beautiful, deliberate and deeply rewarding way of making images.
And as long as people want to shoot it, we want to help them find a way to do so.
